READ MORE condensing unit that needed to be fixed along with other issues red flagged by the inspector. We waited for over two weeks for it to be fixed and for the inspection, to be set for final approval before moving in. In December 20, of 2018 we moved into our newly remodeled home on 305 Murray. It was mid April when we started using the air conditioner and also experienced the first issue with the air conditioner not cooling the home properly. The AC unit inside the closet started leaking water below the return filter and not dripping on the exterior PVC pipe outside. My husband had to fix it and unclog the line multiple times. During the summer of 2019 our light bill was over $200 monthly and considering the light bill, was so high the home was never cool. We thought it was the nest thermostat that was not working so, I called nest for a replacement we replaced it but continued to have issues. We called the installer ( Cold Tek Heating & AC ) but could never get a response and answer about problems on the home. The issues continued with humidity in the home, the windows and doors sweating, sheetrock on the walls, ceiling cracking and separating on the joints. On February 19, of 2020 my husband and I noticed the home was not cooling and went outside and the AC was not coming ON my husband went to the breaker box and saw that the breaker was tripped he turned it on as soon as it was turned ON the outside unit started smoking and tripped the breaker again. We had to call several contractors to quote us and told us that the reason there was a-lot of moisture in the home and the windows and doors were sweating was because the unit was over-sized for the home. Also, mentioned the unit had burned because it was over sized, and also stated the interior copper line was bent and coolant was not reaching the inside unit properly, the PVC piping did not have a pee trap nor clean-out, refrigerant was low due to leakage and was badly welded. After all the quotes we decided to go with Superior Star AC and Heating llc they came in and replaced the AC when the inspector came to do the final inspection i mentioned that we had several issues with the unit and the inspector said that the installers insurance should be called regarding all the issues. And also mentioned that if i needed a witness or assistance that he be glad to help. We did not had the money budgeted for the proper AC unit to be replaced because we thought we would have the AC unit for over ten years but trusting a contractor with expertise you would think everything would be working fine. But only if he would of installed it right and sized it properly we would have dealt with all the problems we experienced. Just be careful who you hire and insure that you do your home work before hiring someone that just you just what you want to hear. Pictures and receipt will be attached. Being a licensed HVAC contractor you knew our house had open cell foam and the home was 1200 sq ft and should of known the 4 ton unit you recommended was over sized. We contacted you multiple times but even the city inspector contacted you. But that’s fine we learned that just cause you think there reliable, licensed contractors there just looking for a buck and not taking responsibility. For any home owner fixing to do a full install or just a AC or condenser replacement make sure to get multiple quotes and opinions including warranty, parts and service.

READ MORE ask politely to park on my drive way which was dry,so they wouldn't bring mud in my house to check my ac unit and the man told I was wasting his time and told me not to worry about it,turned around got in his van and left without helping me,my heater and ac had cut off and was very cold that day and I had my kids with me..very unprofessional, will never ask for this business services again
